please let this be right because i’m just so tired. i want to make something beautiful and inspiring, and something that shows why the hell i go MIA for days and why i get in such bad moods. it just hasn’t been my week. i’m tired of the mess ups, the typos.. it’s just like… why can’t i get my shit together? maybe i have more on my plate than i could handle, or i just need to know which projects need more of my effort. whatever it is.. it’s just the first week of school and i’m already stressssed.

as much as i want to pull up my calendar and stress about deadlines, i’m just gonna sit here. read up on typography and think about the side projects i have goin on, which sound way more exciting than work right now. i should make my mondays and wednesdays here my workout days haha. i only have one class today which is a dance class from 1 to 215, and i’m thinking about pickin up a yoga class just so i feel like i’m driving out here for more than just one class and six hours of work.

well i’m just goin to leave it at that for right now.

hm. yes. today is a good day.

downfall #1- i don’t feel bad for being lazy. ever.

downfall #2- i get sidetracked way too easily.

downfall #3- i can’t take anything seriously… or maybe nothing serious has happened to me. i will never know.

it’s 4 o’clock in the afternoon. i still haven’t left my house or even changed out of my pajamas… if anything, i put stuff OVER my pajamas. for example, when i went to get something out of my car, i put jeans over my pajamas so my neighbors wouldn’t think i’m some kind of slob.

the sad truth is… i am that some kind of slob. i’m any kind of slob, really

where did my day go? oh… i was shopping online thinking that i’d buy an inspirational book for work then i ended up looking at skirts, then shoes to go with those skirts, then blouses to go with those skirts and shoes, and before i knew it, it was 4 o’ clock. why did i do this online you ask? because i LIKE being a bum, and most importantly, i LIKE staying in my house. i didn’t get a part time job this winter because i didn’t feel like working for some asshole who thinks they might move up the corporate ladder if they make my day miserable, and i didn’t go to school because fullerton’s winter session is not worth $600 and because rcc runs two weeks into my spring semester at fullerton. hmm yes my favorite phrase: not worth it.

even that online shopping i did was not worth it because when i looked back at how much those clothes cost they weren’t worth it, and when i realized that i have no place to dress up and go to that’s worth it, i realized that i just wasted my day looking that things that aren’t worth it. so what is worth my time? i don’t even know anymore.

i’m losing it!!! i’ve been cooped up in my house for wayyy too long. sorry to bring you down.

first of all, why me? second of all why am i taking high school all over again? i took world history freshman year at canyon… i took another world history that called itself humanities my senior year. so wtf. this is so frustrating, and yeah, you would think that since i’m taking the same courses over again i’d get a better grade, NOPE. i’m not interested anymore. i thought college was supposed to make you think.

and well i’ve been blogging for the past couple of months so all you’d have to do is scroll down some more

hmm… so despite all the bs that happened in 2008… i have hope for this upcoming year.

this year we went to my sister’s very gorgeous and very cozy house. they have heated tiles. i don’t know why i wrote that just now, but i thought it was amazing. i didn’t know tiles could be heated.

it was a very lowkey christmas eve, just the immediate family and the kids. yeah no crazy aunts and uncles, karaoke, and the deep fried pig on the table this time, but that’s okay with me. we all AGREED that we wouldn’t get gifts for each other this year which was also okay with me… but ate just had to make me this awesome BOOK about our day at the circle. that’s what made my christmas special. thoughtful gifts are always the best.

then after dinner, a few of us knocked out…

and the rest of us played the wii. lani, was a big hit with the kids btw.

THEN on christmas day, i went to san diego with andrew for his big family christmas. the night was all about taboo, karaoke, and food! mmm. his aunt cooks the best EVERYTHING. i couldn’t stop eating. two very different christmases (christmasii?), but both were equally fun.

ughhhhh!!!! how could i have miss this? my all-time favorite singer’s BIRTHDAY. i still haven’t seen her live, and i really miss her   she hasn’t come out with an album since 2005! i have to settle for those youtube video clips of her show at roxy… imjustagirl2000, i don’t know you but i love you. haha anyway, her shows look like a lot of fun. i wish i kept up with her myspace or followed her around or something :/

anyway another person i would like to follow around (i’m so creepy.) is kat dennings

i love her movies, and yes, that’s including that silly hilary duff movie, RAISE YOUR VOICE. she played this goth pianist who fell in love with a techno musician and made the movie a little more bearable for me. i’ve been a fan since then. i just REALLY like her for her awkward, outcast type of roles she plays. i hope she likes those roles too   she does it very well.

another actress i really like for pretty much the same set of reasons is emma stone

we’ve all seen her in superbad as the girl who seth wants to have drunk sex with, and ever since then i thought she was cool. i never watched the rocker though… i guess the reason why i’m talking about these two is because i saw the house bunny last night, and thought it was pretty hilarious. i loved the cast. to me, it featured all of the cool up and coming actresses, and i look forward to seeing them in more movies in the future.

it would be nice to see movies featuring people who have a different type of beauty and personality. oh i guess those are what some people call “those f*ckin weird indie films”.

we had to conquer quite a bit of obstacles every time we went (i.e. lani’s broken window, shoveling out parking spaces, hiking halfway up the mountain)… BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT. these are pictures from saturday. the mountain was packed, but i was able to buy an 8 hour lift ticket (actually 5 hours cuz it had already been scanned) for $20 and i only had to rent boots this time… so $35 spent. it was all worth it.

i loved it.

this winter has been pretty exciting so far. christmas is coming up and i’m pretty proud of what i got andrew this year. finals week wasn’t something to be stressed about (thank god). i’ve been snowboarding for two consecutive weekends, hanging out with the brothers… good family fun. i still have a lot of trips to make this winter. i want some museum fun, aquarium fun, art fun… blah blah.

to be honest, if you’re the angry art snob that bought that painting for ten thousand dollars, you’re a victim of what i like to call HYPE. the family wasn’t trying to scam you, they were just encouraging their kid’s creativity. someone came along, liked it, then marketed it to you, and you fell for it. then 60 minutes saw an opportunity to exploit the family (jerk move on their part) and NOW, all of a sudden, you see that it’s JUST a paint smudges on a canvas? even if her dad helped her out on the paintings a little bit, it’s still art. you thought it was art before 60 minutes… or was it art because a four year-old “prodigy” did it?

there are beautiful paintings that people have spent weeks or maybe even months on going for a hundred grand, and some drugee with a paint brush comes along and slaps some paint on any random thing and it goes for four hundred thousand. modern artists aren’t very good at art but the art of persuasion. it’s like the painter has more fame than the painting itself.

maybe i’m just not “artsy” enough to see it. there are some cool ideas in the painting though… i just think people try to convince themselves that they see something there so they won’t be seen as ignorant.
